The Gyrokinesis pre-training course is physically challenging, in part to experience the level 1 repertoire, as well as to create proper patterning in the body. This course also prepares one to explore the material for their own self directed workout, as well as creating a strong base for those who are interested in teaching the work.
Purpose: To provide a foundational understanding of the Gyrokinesis level 1 exercises and prepare students physically for the Gyrokinesis Level 1 Foundation Course. During this course students focus on gaining experience, and developing a personal understanding of the exercises on the Gyrokinesis Level 1 Pre-Training Course exercise list.
Prerequisites: A basic understanding of the Gyrokinesis, level I, 60 minute and 90 minute formats. Students typically take ten or more classes with a certified Gyrokinesis Trainer to acquire enough experience to begin this course.
Upon successful completion: Once students have successfully completed the Gyrokinesis Level I Pre-Training Course, they are qualified to proceed to the Gyrokinesis Level 1 Foundation Course.
Wendy is a certified Gyrotonic and Gyrokinesis trainer and teacher trainer, Wendy has been active in the fitness/movement profession for over 25 years. With an extensive background in dance, pilates and personal training, she found her home in the Gyrotonic system. The elements of breath, rhythm and movement were exactly what she'd been seeking. Her compassionate warmth, coupled with patient attention to detail makes her an excellent trainer for all ages and fitness levels.
