The GYROKINESIS® Methodology is breaking the boundaries of typical muscular-focused fitness. By stimulating one’s basic senses and central nervous system, one is taught how to monitor and manage all of the fundamental systems of the body. Classes can be catered to fitness enthusiasts while safely working with typical physical ailments and injuries, including back pain.
 
Wendy is a certified Gyrotonic and Gyrokinesis trainer and teacher trainer, Wendy has been active in the fitness/movement profession for over 25 years. With an extensive background in dance, pilates and personal training, she found her home in the Gyrotonic system. The elements of breath, rhythm and movement were exactly what she'd been seeking. Her compassionate warmth, coupled with patient attention to detail makes her an excellent trainer for all ages and fitness levels.

Gyrotonic Applications For Golf is a course designed by Gyrotonic creator, Juliu Horvath and David Rasmussen, PGA tour instructor, and Gyrotonic Trainer. The exercises in this course will teach trainers how to stretch and strengthen in a golf specific manner, as well as how to help clients learn to move their bodies differently and swing the golf club better.

n this course, Gyrotonic Jumping Stretching Board Trainers learn Juliu's most current additions, & changes to the Jumping Stretching Board course curriculum.

Prerequisite:

Gyrotonic Trainers who successfully completed the Jumping Stretching Board Course after 2009. Those who took the Jumping Stretching Board Course prior to 2009, should re-take the full Jumping Stretching Board Course for review, as there were extensive course changes in 2009.

Tracy’s background has always been movement based. Tracy holds a BFA in Dance from Western Michigan University. When in college, Tracy was introduced to the pilates reformer and immediately saw it’s benefits not only for dancers but the general public. Tracy moved to NYC and spent several years as a professional dancer and worked for PilateStyle Magazine.

When Tracy was introduced to the GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM®, she enthusiastically embraced its capabilities. She is a licensed Gyrotonic Master Trainer in Level 1, Level 2, GYROTONER®, and the Jumping-Stretching Board. She is a GYROKINESIS® PreTrainer. She is also certified on all equipment and also trained in therapeutic applications. She has worked alongside a Physical Therapist for several years and has worked as a physical therapy aide in Washington DC using the Gyrotonic and Pilates Methods.

Jamila Kekulah Kinney, M.A. has always been interested in movement and fitness from a young age. Since 2004, Jamila has been trained and certified in Pilates, GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS®. Her specialized training includes GYROTONIC® Therapeutic applications for the shoulder and pelvic girdle, JSB, Archway, GYROKINESIS beginner level 2, Lotus Blossom 2, GYROTONIC® Level 2, TRX®, Bosu, Survive and Thrive™, as well as various GYROTONIC, GYROKINESIS trainings and pre and postnatal workshops. She is also an Authorized Pre-Trainer for both GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS®.

As a teacher, Jamila utilizes her intuition and keen movement observations skills to assist clients and students to uncover their own movement potential.
Passionate about the learning process, Jamila is a Zen Shiatsu practitioner certified through the AOBTA. It is her belief that the body has the capacity to heal and re-balance itself with methodologies that promote mindfulness, stress reduction, and body awareness. Jamila holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Dance from Kent State University, a Masters of Arts degree in Dance/Movement Therapy and Counseling from Columbia College Chicago.

GYROTONIC® Level 2, Program 1

In this course Gyrotonic Trainers learn the Gyrotonic Level 2, Program 1 exercise sequences. The course builds on the level Gyrotonic, Level I curriculum, by introducing more challenging, endurance building exercise sequences including: an advanced hamstring series with a focus on cardiovascular endurance, an advanced handle unit series in multiple standing positions, and handle unit sequences in more challenging variations of the level 1 sitting positions, a level 2 traction series, an advanced upper body series in standing positions , and an advanced abdominal series.
