GYROKINESIS Foundation, with Mia Munroe


The GYROKINESIS® Methodology is breaking the boundaries of typical muscular-focused fitness. By stimulating one’s basic senses and central nervous system, one is taught how to monitor and manage all of the fundamental systems of the body. Classes can be catered to fitness enthusiasts while safely working with typical physical ailments and injuries, including back pain.

Gain an indepth understanding of the exercises in the Gyrokinesis level I 6o minute format class and 90 minute format class, and provide students with the specific skills and techniques to teach these exercise sequences to others. During this course, a Gyrokinesis Master Trainer introduces the principles, and teaching techniques underlying the Gyrokinesis level 1 exercise syllabus.

Prerequisite: Successful completion of the Gyrokinesis Level I Pre-Training Course.

Once students successfully complete the Gyrokinesis Level 1 Foundation Course, they are considered a Gyrokinesis Level I Apprentice. At this stage the Gyrokinesis Level I apprenticeship period begins and students are granted a trademark license that allows them to teach Gyrokinesis classes in the role of Apprentice. The apprenticeship license is valid for 1 year.

Mia Munroe has trained both teachers and students in the GYROKINESIS® and GYROTONIC® Methodology for over 10 years, establishing fitness communities in Canada, Scotland, Isreal, and across the U.S. She utilized the strengthening exercises and self-care practices of both methods during her 10-year professional career as a classical ballet dancer before becoming a Gyrokinesis Master Trainer. A native of Michigan, she has specialized in training a wide range of athletes including golf students and professionals within PGM program at Ferris State University. She draws upon her recent education within the Psychology Department at the University of Washington to deepen the effects of the Gyrokinesis methodology allowing her students to regain their own innate power to understand and manage the systems of the body.
